Minutes from our meeting on March 1, 2016

Quick updates provided at the meeting:

The Rose Circle's garden tour is Sunday, April 10.  Tickets are $20 in advance ($25 the day of the show) and are available online at Showclix.com/event/ep2016. They are also available at:

  • Bloom
  • Earl's Garden Center
  • The Potting Shed
  • Sprout
  • The Tampa Garden Center

The Garden Center is going to begin having yoga sessions open to the public on March 15.

April 27 is a combined circle meeting at the Garden Club.  Nominations will be made at that time for the Board.

Attendance and revenue from  the Tampa Garden Club's event, 'For Love of a Garden' was disappointing this year. The planners are looking at the format and will consider changes going forward.

Hospice has changed their plans for their garden space.  As a result the Garden Club will provide support to Lavoy Exceptional Center.

Kathy reported that the garden at Metropolitan Ministries is producing herbs and tomatoes.  Scott plans to visit the garden and provide photographs for the group.

Nancy showed us the new Moonlight web site that she has been working on.  It's not linked to the Moonlight URL yet.  When it is members will be able to post information and photos.

The meeting concluded with members sharing information about their favorite plants, and plants they would like to learn more about.  Marsha provided a separate summary to the members.
